Be Part of the Guidebook!

Please NOTE: We are no longer accepting updates or new listings for the 2020 version of the Lonely Planet Guidebook.

We encourage partners to continue to update their existing website listing/s in order to promote accurate information to our visitors. You can update this information at any time of the year by following these 5 steps.

  1. Visit, scroll to the bottom of the page and select “Industry Portal Login”, or click here
  2. Click “Login Here” to access the Partner Portal. 
  3. After selecting “Login Here” a new window will open. Enter your credentials to access the portal. If you forgot your Username/Password, email Josh Lambert ( for assistance.
  4. After logging in, select the listing you would like to update. Be sure to select each drop down arrow so that both point in a downward direction. Then select the listing of your choice.
  5. Complete the following tabs. Please note ALL tabs are important, but in regards to the Lonely Planet Guidebook listing the following must be completed to be included in the book (Content, Categories, Contact & Lonely Planet). Once complete – you MUST select “Save and send for approval”.

Q1: Who can be included in the Lonely Planet Guidebook

A1: You must be an attraction or lodging partner to be included in the Lonely Planet Guidebook.

Q2: How do I set up my business listing on the website?

A2: Use this Quick Start Guide to get started. Once you have created an account, please ensure all required fields for the Lonely Planet guidebook (listed above in the 5 steps) are complete.

Q3: How do I get my business in the editorial portion of the book? (Pages 8-111) 

A3: All editorial views are those of Lonely Planet alone and reflect their policy of editorial independence and impartiality. The Visitor & Convention Bureau does not have control over this content. Partners cannot pay or request to be included in this portion of the book. 

Q4: Where in the guidebook will my business listing be seen?

A4: If you are an accommodation or attraction partner, your listing will be included in the Accommodations & Attractions Listings starting on Page 114. NOTE: You must fill out the required fields (as stated in the instructions above) and click the "Save & Send for Approval" button in order to be included in the guidebook.
